Four months with the Mi Home Mijia Sneakers 4

Posted

I was sent a pair of (Mi Home) Mijia Sneakers 4 (EU 42, US 8.5, UK 7.5), and have been wearing it for the past 4 months. Here are some of my thoughts…

The Product

The men’s running shoe Xiaomi Mijia Sneakers 4 can become an element of both sport and casual style. This shoe model has a shock-absorbing sole that is wear-resistant under various types of loads. At the same time, the sneakers are soft, lightweight, and moderately elastic. They are comfortable to wear thanks to the breathable materials. It is important to note that the shoe material also has antibacterial properties, which significantly reduces the possibility of foot fungus disease. Xiaomi Mijia Sneakers 4 sneakers can be machine washed without fear of damage.

Thoughts

I’m no shoe-expert, but I do know my feet.
And having worn them for four months… my feet don’t particularly like these

Grip

🌧 During the rain, this shoe fails to provide adequate grip (for me).

During the day.. they’re okay, but I didn’t find them to be particular grippy still.

Height

The thickness of the midsole was decent. I prefer to be able to feel the ground, so it was nice that I didn’t feel tall as a giant

Toe Angle

The relatively steeper vertical curvature of the shoe would likely assist you when running.
I’m not a runner, so as an every day shoe I found the heel-toe angle transition to be too steep.

Comfort

Ample holes around the shoe provide plenty of ventilation for my feet. I don’t think that my feet felt sweaty at any point during wear.

Compared to my old Adidas Pulseboosts, the Sneakers 4 doesn’t have that ‘sock-like’ fit, but overall the fit was decent

Conclusion

Would I buy these shoes? Probably not…

Nothing really special to these shoes; the lack of grip during wet weather makes these shoes abit useless to me, as I’m often standing on wet surfaces

For around US$40, these shoes are okay for their price… but I can probably get a better pair around that price.
