I’ve been meaning to buy a MIDI controller with a motorised fader, like the Behringer X-Touch series… but having not ever used one, I was unsure if they were easily integrable with the software I’ve been writing.
PreSonus has a product called the FaderPort which functions similarly (though more intended for use in a studio than for a live environment). Given a price discount (Black Friday), and the revelation that the device has an officially published MIDI specification for device interop, I decided to pull the trigger and buy the FaderPort 8
I’ve been looking into how I might be able to control a StudioLive console with the FaderPort, as it will effectively give me more physical control surfaces to interact with the StudioLive console.
